A tale of two counties: King County cools while Snohomish opens up

One number rarely tells the truth about our market. This spring made that obvious. Regional reports showed a softer stretch for King County single family prices while inventory across Snohomish County surged. Same metro, two different experiences.
King County
In the pricier parts of King County, single family values eased off their peak while listings climbed. For buyers who felt permanently priced out, a cooler stretch with more choice is a genuine opening, even if the area is still competitive compared to the rest of the country.
Snohomish County
Snohomish saw one of the larger jumps in available homes in the region. More listings and generally more attainable prices make it one of the better setups for first time buyers right now. The tradeoff is a longer commute to some job centers, which is a personal call.
The right county for you depends on your budget, your commute, and your goals. Tell me what matters most and I will help you weigh it honestly.
